DR. ROY COSICO

Dr Roy Cosico has a professional career in humanitarian emergency response and public health. Following his specialization in Pediatrics in the Philippines, Dr Cosico joined MSF-OCA (2006-2013) to do 11 missions with various roles such as a Medical Doctor (Pakistan, Sierra Leone, and Turkmenistan), Project Coordinator (Nepal and Nigeria), Medical Coordinator (Sri Lanka and Ethiopia), and Deputy Head of Mission (South Sudan). He has been with WHO since 2013. Dr Cosico is currently the Technical Officer and in-charge of the mentorship, classification, and re-classification of the Emergency Medical Teams Initiative of the WHO Health Emergencies Programme based in Geneva.
